Co-Founder
Joe is a co-founder of Unit Network. He is an economist, lawyer, investor, and permanent traveler. After law school, Joe worked at free-market think tanks the Cato Institute and the Mercatus Center, litigated at libertarian law firm the Institute for Justice, and ran for the Minnesota House of Representatives.
During business school, he was an analyst on the University of Minnesota's Carlson Growth Fund and interned in private equity, investment banking, and corporate M&A. Joe received a coveted U.S. Presidential Management Fellowship and served both on the Majority Staff of the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Financial Services and as an Investment Officer at the U.S. Small Business Administration’s SBIC fund ($32 billion AUM). He first managed money at 12 years old and lives and breathes the economy and markets, continuing today to run a boutique investment firm that invests for close friends and family.
Joe is driven by a belief in individual liberty and motivated to build a world where freedom and prosperity are widely shared in a way that’s never been possible before. He believes blockchain is the permanent way forward and is extremely excited to change the world with Unit.
