Mentor/Investor/Educator/Hype Man/Parent/Friend
Jack is a blue collar kid from Buffalo, NY, the first in his family to graduate from college. After graduating from Canisius University he worked in retail banking for a few years, then got his MBA from the Wharton School of Business.
He spent 18 years as a consultant at McKinsey & Company where he was a Senior Partner; five years as a senior executive at Pentair; and for the past 15 years has worked in Private Equity. For the past decade he has been very active in the startup ecosystem: as an investor in a handful of venture capital funds, as an angel investor, as a mentor to startup/early stage companies and founders, and as educator. He is the Mentor In Residence for Techstars and the Schulze Executive Fellow and Adjunct Professor at the University of St. Thomas.
Jack and his wife Claire have three adult children and two dogs.
